Three Reigate boys, Alex Phillips, Mike Pinggera & Declan Fields came 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively in the Plate at the Chichester Jr Open. Ted English competed in his first U13 comp and reached the semis.

28th Nov 2009

Saturday saw four junior girls enter Ebbisham Junior Graded. Sara Pinggera (age 8) came 5/8th in Improver, Katriona Brown (8) runner up in Fundation. Niamh Brown (10)8/10th & Lilly Pinggera (9) 6/10th in Pro mini squash. Lilly & Niamh were the only girls in their groups.

Aisling Brown (11)& Annabel Fredericks (11)played in the Ebbisham Jr Graded. Annabel reached the finals. Rory Fields took part as did Ted English.

12/13th Dec 2009

Mike & Declan played in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Mike had a bye into the last 16 and won his first match comfortably 3-0 but was beaten in the quarters. Declan won his first match 3-2 and his second easily 3-0. Declan lost his third match in the quarters. Also this weekend saw the 25th anniversary of the Tom Elton Barratt tournament in Herts. Well done to Alex Phillips who came runner up in the BU15, losing to Surrey’s Seigo Masuda 0-3. Ted English played at the Tom EB reaching 5th in the BU11.

18th December 2009

TWP Surrey Open. 11 Reigate juniors took park in 5 age groups. Will Hartley and Rory Fields taking part in first ES Sanctioned comp. Tough Mixed, boys, U11’s. Alex Phillips runner up BU15, Claire Wright GU17 runner up. Lots of support from all the juniors for each other.

2nd January 2010

British Junior Open, Sheffield. Two juniors, Claire Wright and Katie Wilson went to Sheffield. Katie GU15 came 37th and Claire GU17 came 50th. The Egyptians took all age group winner medals!

Other News

The adult leagues have seen three more junior members sign up as well as two parents whose children play.
Jonathan Malynn has stayed at the top of the adults leagues for a second time. Mike Pinggera, Alex Phillips, Katie Wilson & Claire Wright have all been invited to train with the Regional Squad this weekend; hopefully they’ll make the squad.

Later this month will see the junior inter-county second stage groups. Teams haven’t been chosen yet. Next rounds are 24th & 31st January. Surrey training was held at the weekend so teams will be announced soon.
